Rocketsaurus Contest – Skylighter Whistle Tools Sale

Rocketsaurus Contest – Skylighter Whistle Tools Sale

Topics: How to Make Fireworks

I recently had the opportunity to cruise down to South Florida for the Florida Pyrotechnic Artists Guild’s spring shoot.

The FPAG folks entertained with some serious pyro excellence. The highlight of it for me was the Rocketsaurus contest.

“Rocketsaurus?” Well that’s the steel trophy which was created by superb artist, pyro, and winter-Jamaican, Tom Dimock. He didn’t actually name it Rocketsaurus, but that’s what it got nicknamed as a new FPAG trophy.

Here’s Bill Swint, when he won the Rocketsaurus trophy.

Rocketsaurus goes to the person who best completes one simple task…make the most badass rocket you can. …Which has to actually fly. Other than that, there are no rules!

I got to be a judge this time. Judges get the closest seats. And are most the likely to die!

I know you won’t believe this. There were only 4 entries this time. But, ahhhh…. the video says it all. Look CLOSELY at each rocket. This is not a gag!

One thing you’ll notice about these rockets is that most of them use some sort of whistle fuel. To get those babies up in the air, some serious firepower was needed.

And whistle fuel has the snort that’s needed. You can’t use regular old BP rocket tooling to make whistle rockets…nosireebob!

And you can’t lift man-sized shells like these guys do with baby whistle tools.

That’s why for today, and today, you can get big ole whistle rocket tools for 25% off. Yup, for the next 24 hours you can take advantage of ole’ Harry and his fascination with big rockets.

Get a set of Skylighter’s 2 lb. or 3 lb. whistle rocket tooling for 25% off!

And I’ll even throw in a pound of Titanium Dihydride with each set so you can try some pretty sparks in your rocket’s tail.

But jump quick, ‘cause the supply is limited.

FINE PRINT–Read it now or weep later:

  • 25% Off 2 lb. and 3 lb. whistle rocket tools today only.
  • 1 lb. of Titanium Dihydride free for every $50 worth of products you buy today at Skylighter.
  • You don’t have to buy whistle tools to get free TiDi–any $50 purchase will do.
  • You must use the Promo Code: TIDIROCKET.
  • Deadline is midnight, Eastern time, Tuesday, May 7th.
  • Items you order must be in stock. This offer does not apply to any product that’s “Temporarily Unable to Ship” or out of stock.
  • Your Titanium Dihydride will get added later. You won’t see it in your order confirmation. We’ll add it when we ship your order.
  • Your shipping charges will be a little higher than what you see on your order confirmation, because of your free Titanium Dihydride.
  • Allow 2-3 weeks for delivery. “First come, first served.” Sometimes it takes us awhile to get all orders caught up and shipped.
  • Not retroactive: You cain’t apply this deal to your last order, no matter how much we really do love you, not even if you are an alpha, super-repeat-buying, big-spender dog.

How ‘bout them apples? Free TiDi and 25% off select whistle rocket tools. You cain’t beat that with a rocket stick.

Go get 25% off select whistle rocket tools now!

…and then LIGHT something!

Yours in flames,

Harry Gilliam

Beautiful, and amusing. I wish I lived where I could launch like that and know you guys. You are an inspiration, yankee inguinuity, amateur science, and all that.

Are you still allowed to fly on airplanes ????

  2. Pat says:

ROCKETSAURUS! AWESOME! One has to ask the question. Was Barley Pop involved? The best rocket was the first in the video. However, the rocket with the surprise ground burst was by far my favorite! Were hard hats issued! Ha! Ha! I can only set back and say “Far Out”! Looks like alot of fun! Though, it would appear that more stabilization was required on a couple of entries. I feel better knowing that I am not alone in the “Oops” department of experimentation. Oh!, I mean R & D. Thanks for the show! Pat

  3. Gregory Hill says:

Say finay to the last one. Great scare factor.

  4. Mark says:

If the videos were all from the same perspective, the last one was “it” for me. The sculpture/trophy is BAD!
